Abstract
  • The project proposed: 'the family makes a significant input in the development of wholesome males, and, where this input is negative, the Church plays a major role as a transforming and sustaining agent'. The project employed an ethnographical study whose main component was a survey of family and Church relationships of thirty-two Christian male role models. The result called for this modification of the thesis statement: 'the family makes an input in the development of wholesome males, and, where this input is negative, the Church sometimes contributes to the transformation and sustenance of such men.' The data will be used in strategic planning by the Jamacian Church to facilitate renewal.
