Abstract

The author proposed that intentional preaching toward mission and vision will direct a congregation in a more faithful living of the Christian life. The process of intentional preaching involved first determining the faith convictions currently held by the congregation, then directing the congregation in discovering its God-given mission and vision, and finally discerning how to live out this new direction. The act of preaching had the ability to transform a church so it becomes more intentional in its ministry.
