Abstract
  • This is an integrative paper for the doctor of ministry degree. It is based upon library research and reflection upon my twenty-five years of experience in ministry. This paper examines sin/evil in the tradition of the Roman Catholic Church. Study of the mythologies of various cultures and the psychological impact of sin/evil in one's life. Lastly study of Jungian notion of sin/evil, it includes as set forth in the concepts of ego, persona/mask, unconscious, and shadow. This author concludes that sin/evil is not a problem to struggle with but a mystery to live with.
