Brooks. Well-formed self structures are necessary for mature faith development. Unformed or ill-formed self structures result from deficits in psychological development. Hilde Bruch's investigations into eating disorders provide insight into the relationship between developmental deficits and deficient self structures. The project reviews Bruch's theory of primary anorexia nervosa and her approach to treatment. It illustrates psychodynamic issues with case material.
