  • The project examined what two Church of Scotland congregations, Cove New Charge and Summerhill Church, Aberdeen, learned about the distinctiveness of their worship and ministry during an extended period and whether this had resulted in mutual encouragement. The author offered some Trinitarian teaching aimed at demonstrating that while congregations have their distinctive features they are to reflect something of the communion within the Trinity (perichoresis). A questionnaire on worship and ministry was conducted, some theological reflection encouraged and an evaluation undertaken. The author highlighted the importance of patterning our congregational relations on the Trinity to meet the challenges of postmodernity.
