Abstrato
  • The Western church, including the Uniting Church in Australia, has much to rediscover from the history and rich tradition of the whole church catholic concerning its distinctive contribution to the healing of persons, and that the recovery of healing liturgies and rituals for the ordinary life of the church is an important means of reclaiming much of that tradition. The writer reviewed relevant literature, wrote a position paper and field-tested a praxis section resulting from the study. The study substantiated the hypothesis and noted ambivalence among clergy, but also indicated a growing openness to the recovery of healing rites.
