The author noted his congregation was experiencing gender communication difficulties. A survey found that gender role differentiation was also an issue. Through a special emphasis, 'Male and female he created them: what does this mean?' the author utilized a sermon series, special Bible studies, skits/dramas, etc., to broach the topic over a ten-week period. Issues such as headship/submission in marriage and the ordination of women were not sidestepped. God's wisdom on the matter was presented, affirming His purpose for headship/submission, as well as limiting the pastoral office to qualified males. An exit survey showed favorable results in the author's congregation.
