Abstrato
  • The short-term volunteer mission team is a pedagogical device which allows the participants to develop a more adequate theology of mission. The most important outcome of this type of mission is theological growth and Christian fellowship rather than the services it provides such as construction, evangelism or medicine. The author presents a typology of contemporary missiology and discusses the development of the mission team movement. Participants are surveyed in order to measure personal missiological growth. The test group demonstrates a tendency toward a holistic understanding of mission as a result of their experiences.
