This project proposes to deepen understanding and enhance appreciation of the biblical significance of baptism in the life of First Baptist Church (Union City, Tenn), in order to increase the level of commitment to the claims of Christ among those who have been baptized. Through sermons, testimonies, and small-group studies the project seeks to correct misconceptions that cause disunity and conflict and communicate a proper biblical understanding of baptism--immersion in water--so that church members gain a better understanding and deeper appreciation of their own baptism.
