This project proposes to prepare presbyteries of the Presbyterian Church in America for conflict management and resolution by producing a handbook explaining the prerequisites for effective conflict management and offering 20 principles guiding the shepherding of conflict situations. The handbook defines conflict and discusses its roots, types, levels, issues, and benefits. It approaches responses to conflict critically, and explains the process of conflict management and employment of conflict managers.
