Abstracto

This paper describes the experience of one congregation, Prince of Peace Lutheran Church (Hot Springs, Arkansas), with the dynamics of change. The author uses a variety of approaches to reflect the conflict and confusion which often accompanies change in a church setting. In looking to the future, this paper outlines approaches to getting the congregation on track for the future. A history of the conflict as well as interviews provides a picture of the dynamics of a church in transition from a pastoral-sized congregation to a program-sized congregation.
