  • This project investigates effects of liturgical education on a congregation's knowledge and participation in worship. When a group of laypersons participated in an educational project on worship, the group developed an increased understanding of the meaning, purpose, and practice of worship. They learned tools necessary to develop creative liturgies, and used these tools to participate with clergy and staff in planning and carrying out liturgy for corporate worship. The group actively participated and encouraged active participation among their peers in the corporate worship experience.
