  • This research project emerged from the question concerning women's role within the church. It proposed to examine how men and women within a congregation perceived women's role in an effort to identify, clarify, and change attitudes for mutual ministry. The vehicle for this research used a dialectical methodology of combined biblical studies and social science methods. The expectation of the hypothesis was that significant changes in attitudes would take place. The conclusion indicated that the participants made significnt changes in their attitudes with the resulting perception that women have a complementary and equal role to men within the church.
