  • This project investigates and documents the religious life and attitudes of women of the baby boom generation in British Columbia. These women believe in God, sometimes pray, but rarely read the Bible. They are uncomfortable with certain beliefs that they associate with churches, but they appreciate church rituals and want to expose their children to Christian stories and values. Their busy lives are influenced by insistent messages from a consumer culture. Their husbands generally have little interest in church. Churches can support these women with nonjudgmental acceptance and can offer opportunities to share their faith stories.
