Abstract
  • The project was developed to address the need of Kavanaugh United Methodist Church (Greenville, Texas) to establish long-range goals and assess pastoral leadership skills for mission and ministry. An ad hoc committee of twelve persons worked in eight weekly sessions with two sources of information: demographic data and a congregational survey. Nine long-range goals and eight pastoral leadership skills were developed and presented to the congregation at a church conference. Evaluation was accomplished through process notes by the project leader, journals kept by the committee members, and critique sheets submitted by church conference participants.
