This dissertation/project explores the hypothesis that the Agape is a useful form of Christian worship and communal life. A handbook was produced which includes samples of the Agape and general and specific guidelines for its practice in congregations and family units. The study begins with a literature survey and then moves into a description of field research of contemporary practice in the USA, British Isles, Europe and Australasia. The study concludes that the Agape fellowship meal and the Agape-eucharist may be practiced occasionally in a number of ways.
