This project proposes a program of preventive health education for African American churches and tests it through a health and wellness ministry in Mount Bethel Baptist Church (Fort Lauderdale, Fla). The ministry develops and introduces an innovative Health Academy that teaches Scriptural, theological, and practical knowledge in three sessions on health issues.
