  • Many of the conflicts between parents and teenagers are increased or intensified because of an inability to communicate effectively with each other. This project was designed to improve the relationship between parents and teenagers by improving their communication skills. It was a six-week course and used a praxis approach to learning. Parents and teenagers participated together in the class. Based upon pretest and posttest scores, adults in this project achieved a greater degree of improvement in communication skills than the teenagers. Both adults and teenagers realized an improvement in parent/teen relationships as a result of participating in this course.
