Abstract
  • A new church is emerging in Sweden with the temporary name, The Joint Future (X-Church). The vision for the church is to become a church 'where the meeting with Jesus Christ transforms me, you and the world, and to become a church for ones entire life.' My thesis is founded in the needing for a new role of pastoral leadership for this church. Interviews have been done in nine congregations. The conclusion from the research is the pastor's role is to be a Servant Leader who helps others become healthier, wiser, freer, more autonomous. A leader such as this is therefore able to be part of every aspect of life.
