  • This thesis seeks to assess the missional presence and practice of the Anglican Province of America (APA) by exploring the biblical and theological basis for missions to create a plumb-line against which to measure the result of the research. Against this backdrop, the thesis will attempt to demonstrate by means of a brief historical review of the APA (in particular their relationship with their 'inherited' missions), a pro-active approach to research through personal interviews with various priests and church leaders, and personal visitation and assessment to two of the three missions (the third mission was evaluated through electronic and telephonic correspondence), that the APA is not as missions-minded as they ought to be.
