- The purpose of this thesis was to gather information on long-range planning efforts in Roman Catholic institutional health care ministry. The initial data were generated by a questionnaire specifically designed and directed to the fourteen congregational owners. A provincial status was then developed and circulated, accompanied by a survey validation document. The results of this study yielded: (1) a public commitment to plan for the future of Roman Catholic institutional health care as a provincial entity; (2) the formation of a time-limited task force to research alternative forms of ownership; (3) a directive to develop with USMC and REGIS, a program of theological preparation in the Roman Catholic tradition for health care personnel.
