This project concerns ancestral worship in Korean cultural society from a Christian viewpoint. The right interpretation of ancestral worship became a hot issue in the history of the Korean Church. This project cultivated a practical theory of ancestral worship according to the biblical, theological, and liturgical perspectives of Christianity. The project searched and analyzed the problem of ancestral worship through a questionnaire which was addressed to the ministers in rural, urban, and metropolitan areas. Also, it emphasized the necessity of the reinterpretation of ancestral worship and a production of a pragmatic ministerial guideline in the Korean Church.
