- The project originates from a need to change long-standing unhealthy patterns of ministry. Research in local church ministry relationships determines how poor relationships affect the mission and purpose of the church. Extensive materials on local church relationships and the theory of ministry relationships are available. However, little practical material on improving relationships is available. The research reveals that the hindrance of local church ministry by poor relationships between clergy and laity is a Protestant-wide problem. Primary resources suggest a biblical and theoretical model for the improvement of ministry relationships. The model proposes small groups which is the nominal group technique. The outcome of the project is the implementation of new communication patterns that build trust.
