- This project, using a qualitative approach, will share learnings from five pastors interviewed, who are in cross-racial-cross-cultural appointments. Each culture has its own rituals, customs, and traditions. The author, sharing stories from his ministerial experience, will also lift up some of his successes and failures in embracing and relating to these differences. These stories are shared in order to help other pastors navigate the waters of cross-racial-cross-cultural ministry more smoothly. A framework for more effective communication will be offered in the last chapter. The appendix will include the interview questions and several tools to help facilitate inclusive and effective conversations.
