Abstracto

Human resource management and performance appraisal reviews from the secular world can be adapted for use in the parish without losing the gospel as the motivating factor for working in the Kingdom. The project provides a scriptural study of the responsibilities of laity and clergy, combined with a study of human resource management techniques/philosophies and performance appraisal reviews from industry and agencies to create a congenial atmosphere in which constructive conversation and criticism of both offices can occur. The secular and the sacred were successfully combined contextually to produce useful job descriptions and PARs for pastor and people.
