Abstrait

The quality of a society and of a church's ministry can be determined by the manner in which they respond to the needs of the elderly. This realization prompted a survey and the implementation of the following goals: 1) all ages will be able to participate fully in morning worship; 2) a program of daily hot meals will be established; 3) services will be taped for the home-bound and services will be offered in their homes; 4) necessary transportation will be provided; 5) daily telephone reassurance will be available for people who live alone. The project made a deliberate effort to minister to the elderly and to honor their contributions to the life and ministry of the congregation.
