Abstracto

The thesis of this project is that training in the discipline of theological reflection will enhance and improve lay-pastoral care in the life of the congregation. The method of research included assisting participants to clarify their beliefs through a confession of faith workshop; engaging in action-reflection experiences before and after the retreat; and utilizing a theological reflection model to improve analysis and assessment of pastoral care experiences. This project also included the design and utilization of two diagnostic tools. Post-retreat evaluations and assignments indicate some evidence of improvement in experience assessment and some increased comfort and confidence in lay-pastoral care.
