This project developed materials and techniques for counseling parents prior to infant baptism. Project Associates and Consulting Faculty assisted the author in the planning, development, implementation and evaluation phases of the project. Implementation was carried out in a six month period at Immanuel United Methodist Church in Elida, Ohio. Six case histories were analyzed to evaluate the effectiveness of the materials and counseling sessions. Four sermons on baptism were preached during implementation. Volunteers from each congregation discussed and evaluated each sermon.
