Abstract
  • This project was designed to help Christian parents be intentional about their role as the primary spiritual providers for their children. The neglect of faith formation with children in the home is widespread among Christian parents. The research question asked was, 'if Christian parents are equipped by their minister for leading their children in family worship, will they become more confident, competent, and committed as their children's spiritual leaders?' Results from the 'family altar workshop' revealed that parents will embrace a more intentional role once they are challenged and equipped; however, follow-up accountability is the key for longevity.
