Abstract
  • This project created a biblical model for the nurture, support, and respect of pastoral leadership. The model was a five-week Bible study intended to enhance awareness, understanding, and respect of pastors' spiritual authority, as well as to offer guidance in providing nurture and support to pastors. The model was evaluated by denominational leaders, pastors, and lay persons. All respondents indicated that the Bible study was an effective and biblically sound tool for teaching the concept of spiritual authority, and for providing guidance to churches in supporting their pastors.
