Abstract
  • This study concentrates on the cultural issues that the Canadian Chinese Church needs to address on the leadership and pastoral level. The author has examined two large Chinese churches in the greater Vancouver area with a set of questionnaires that is designed for the comparative analysis of distinct cultural conflict patterns. The project finds that there are certain common cultural traits and core values that are root causes of the ministry conflict. Based on the identified data, nine sets of proposals and strategies are recommended by which a healthier intergenerational partnership in ministry and cross-cultural conflict intervention might be realized.
