  • This study explored the implications of the doctrine of adoption on the social domain of the personhood. A qualitative design with semi-structured interviews of seven ministry leaders was utilized. The research focused on the four spheres of the social domain: relationship with God, self, others and the physical world. The doctrine of adoption was found to have such profound implications on the social domain that it is necessary that ministry leaders develop this doctrine in their discipleship plan. The findings could be used to diagnose avenues of growth and help the Christian better appreciate the depth and breadth of the gospel.
