  • This project demonstrated how misunderstandings and stereotyping that often exist between Christians and Muslims can be bridged and eliminated. The project used a set of interfaith activities and was implemented in Charleston, West Virginia in a series of meetings between members of a local church and the Islamic center. The results were positive, as participants characterized the activities as a valuable learning experience that changed their perceptions of each other's religions. The project confirmed how well prepared interfaith activities, in an open and informal social setting, can bring about successful learning experiences between groups of people from different faith traditions.
