- Abstract
- This project developed a model which allowed young married couples to explore and share their faith by using group procedures originally designed for marriage enrichment programs. The goal was both to nurture the couples' maturity in faith and to enrich their marriage relationship. Eight couples met weekly for three months. They reflected on Scripture, tradition, experience and reason as four sources of authority for Christian faith, and on the image of covenant as the central symbol of Christian marriage. The guided dialogue enhanced an open, trusting, accepting relationship between spouses and helped them to participate in a shared spiritual pilgrimage.
