Abstracto

The author reviewed the present spiritual situation of the Korean church and examined the reasons for its spiritual immaturity, stemming from the cultural and religious background of the nation as well as from pastoral ministry practices. To counteract this immaturity, he designed 'Changing Christian Hearts and Lives,' group study material that offers a practical way for the Korean church to overcome this difficulty. His main argument is that the church needs to concentrate primarily on nurturing Korean Christians by changing their hearts, because although the heart is the innermost center of man, '[t]he heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure' (Jer 17:9).
