Abstrait
  • This paper attempts to develop an emerging theology that is an amalgamation of Chinese culture and Anglicanism for the evangelization of the Chinese in Canada. Using resources from other authors, the author discusses: the relation between Christ and culture; how Chinese and Chinese culture are marginalized; the problems of assimilation, adaptation, and integration of the Chinese; and the Anglican Church's apathy toward multiculturalism. The author introduces his 'kaleidoscope' image as an alternative to the 'melting pot' or 'mosaic' models. He also presents eight models for ethnic congregations, pointing the Canadian Chinese towards a new Jerusalem.
