  • This project focuses on helping a Friends meeting see the relationship between effective decision-making and two ideas. The first idea, theocracy, was George Fox's intent when he developed the Friends decision-making process. The second idea, multigenerational emotional process, comes from Bowen's systems theory. These ideas are blended into a theory of multigenerational spiritual/emotional process designed to help a meeting identify its destructive forces and helpful resources. A Friends meeting was taught a course related to the above ideas and partially applied them for six months. A verifying survey was also sent to sixty-one Friends leaders.
