Abstracto

Yonggi Cho's fivefold gospel and threefold blessing is a contextualized form of messages in the Bible, relevant to the Korean context of the 1960s and 1970s. The author conducted the research for this paper through extensive reading of Yonggi Cho's books, study of the historical and cultural context and the socioeconomic context of Cho's ministry in Korea, and evangelical missiological reflection and evangelical theological evaluation. Yonggi Cho's contextualized messages show both strong and weak points, though they were ingeniously fit for the Korean context of his ministry, and need further adaptation to the rapidly changing context of Korean society.
