The purpose of this dissertation was to develop an instrument that would help church members and pastors begin a dialogue on their understandings of the Christ. A study of the titles used to describe Jesus highlights the work. Research on the Latin American church looks at images of Christ operating there. A comprehensive survey was developed and furnishes new data on the Christology of the United Church of Christ. The survey enables men, women, laity, and clergy to understand the way in which they describe Jesus Christ.
