Abstracto

This project attempts to bring together two values in preaching: Christ centeredness in focus and practical application in effect. In the first section, the case for a Christ centered meta-narrative running through all of the scriptures is reviewed. Maintaining a Christ centered preaching focus keeps the primary agenda of the scriptures before the congregation. In the second section, the case for practical application is reviewed, with special attention given to application as a response to the Christ centered focus of a passage. Finally, six messages were preached which attempted to demonstrate the lessons gleaned from this work.
