Abstract
  • This study is concerned with the way in which the presence of God is remembered and celebrated in community worship. Drawing on the Bible as the authentic precedent to guide clergy and laity in this endeavor, the author examines eight songs from the Scriptures to establish the living connection inherent in the recital of the faithful from generation to generation. Approached through an introduction to the psychology of music and complemented by an interpretation of Jungian theory, the overview provides a corrective on the nature of creativity in the ministry of pastoral care.
