This project proposes and presents a homiletics textbook that emphasizes skills that lead to effective preaching. Drawing on surveys of 200 preaching pastors and 12 preaching professors, designed to analyze felt needs of practitioners and current syllabi of professors, the textbook aims to help students learn how to do what they are expected to do.
