This project demonstrates how anxiety in one-on-one witnessing can be reduced by realizing a biblical theology of 'being'--based on the ministry of Jesus to the Samaritan woman in John 4--rather than a performance-based theology of 'doing.' Working with selected church members in two seminars the project sees a reduction in anxiety and a steep rise in evangelical encounters among participants. Questionnaires developed and tested in the project measure individual anxiety in witnessing and ability in apologetics.
