  • Lay ministry is one of the necessary concerns of most churches. This vision encouraged the author, integrating his eleven years of pastoral experience in the Hong Kong Methodist Church, to implement a fourteen three-hour weekly session program for a group of married couples at the Cleveland Chinese Christian Church, Ohio. The result was obvious: each couple successfully formed a family group and helped to nurture the whole congregation. Later, new missions were started. Although the project was mainly based upon an immigrant church setting, it is also applicable to all churches that are looking for an effective model of ministry.
