  • This project investigates and analyzes the influence of Greco-Roman goddess religion on interpretation of the interactions and conversations of Jesus with women. Goddess religion aids understanding of real women in the New Testament and opens a contemporary dialogue with people on the margins of Christianity. Jesus' responses to women illustrate the complementary roles of men and women in the work of the reign of God.
