This project explores a Presbyterian congregation's eschatological consciousness, looks at eschatology from a Reformed perspective, analyzes the eschatological images put forth by the hymns in The Hymnbook and in the liturgies of The Worshipbook, articulates the author's eschatology, and explores ways the eschatological side of the gospel can be communicated in a Presbyterian congregation. The congregation of 175 was analyzed by interviews with 68 of its members. These interviews allowed a glimpse of the variety of eschatological symbols and images prevalent in a Presbyterian congregation. The project returned eschatology to the level of congregational theological discourse. The eschatological aspect of the Lord's Supper also was emphasized in the process of the project's completion.
