  • This project presented a series of five original poetic lectio divina readings from the Pentateuch to freshman high school girls over a nine-day period. The interpretative work of DeVaux, Boadt, Clines, and Brueggemann were threaded together using the metaphor of a wedding. A new inclusive pronoun for God (HH-it) was introduced. The project shows that these poetic readings can be an excellent teaching device enabling students and adults to pray and deepen their relationship with God.
