Abstract
  • With the decline of ordained clergy, alternate styles of pastoral care are developing in Roman Catholic parishes. The developmental program of St Joseph Parish in Oil City, Pennsylvania, attempted to prepare eucharistic ministers for a ministry that went beyond their liturgical formation. The connection of the skills of pastoral care to the sacramental (Eucharist) tradition of the Catholic community was the goal of a new pastoral care team for the parish and the project of this paper.
