Abstracto

This project proposes, designs, and implements a training program to enhance and enrich the role of music in worship in First Baptist Church (Salem, Ind). Drawing on historical studies of music's role in the church, survey questionnaires circulated to church members, and personal interviews with members and present and former staff persons who have been involved with the music ministry, the project present four training sessions. Members study the philosophy of music in worship, biblical foundations for music in worship, history of music in worship, and the elements of music in worship.
