Abstract
  • The purpose of this project is to implement an intentional support, tutoring, and encouragement process (InSTEP) for youth ministers in the Costameda Baptist Association to maximize their potential in the ministry setting. The project incorporates training and a six-month test period in which a leader guides a youth minister through InSTEP. A covenant of goals and homework directs the process. Appraisal comes through written evaluations and an interview evaluation. The leaders demonstrate an understanding of this process by engaging in an intentional relationship. The youth ministers receive support, tutoring, and encouragement through InSTEP.
